Information you provide Saafir stores account identifiers, your email address, name, username, profile photo and bio; trips, routes, photos, comments and ratings you submit; follow and block relationships; reports; notification preferences; and the status of purchases needed to provide Saafir Plus. Apple processes App Store payments. Saafir does not receive your card details. Location and recording With your permission, Saafir uses your location to show nearby trips, display your position, record routes and provide guidance. Recording can continue in the background while a trip is active. Recorded routes can contain precise coordinates, timestamps and elevation. You choose whether to publish a trip. Public trips and posts can be seen by other users and through shared links. Live progress Live sharing starts only when you choose a recipient and start sharing. That recipient can view the location updates sent during your session. Stop sharing in the app to end updates. Live sharing requires connectivity and is not an emergency service. Device storage Downloaded maps, saved trip copies, recording recovery data and cached images are stored on your device. Signing out does not necessarily erase downloads already saved to the device. Use the app’s removal controls, device settings or uninstall the app to remove local copies. Service providers Saafir uses Supabase for accounts, database, media storage and live updates; Mapbox for map display, map downloads and related mapping services; OpenStreetMap tiles for selected online previews; Apple for sign-in, purchases and system services; and Google if you choose Google sign-in. Opening maps and loading online content sends network information, including your IP address, to the provider. These services may process information outside your country. Their own privacy terms also apply. How information is used Information is used to operate the app, show content you request, save and synchronize your activity, deliver notifications, manage access, investigate reports, prevent abuse and respond to support requests. Saafir does not use your content for advertising tracking or sell your personal information. Your choices You can edit your profile, change map privacy, make trips private, stop live sharing, block users, remove your content and change notification preferences. You can revoke location and photo permissions in iOS Settings. Private content remains accessible to you and to authorized service operations, including investigation of safety reports. Retention and deletion Information is retained while needed to provide your account and the features you use. You can request deletion through Settings → Account deletion or contact support. Some information may need to be retained to address abuse, disputes or legal obligations. Copies in backups and content previously downloaded or shared by others may not disappear immediately. Removing an account does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription; manage subscriptions in your Apple account. Security and updates Access controls protect account and private content, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Contact support if you suspect unauthorized access.
